Londonderry Alumni Association:
I'd like to re-institute the monthly "News
Bulletins" which were previously sent out at the beginning of each
month to our Membership (those with e-mail addresses.) This is the initial
one, and you can look for a similar one at the beginning of each month which
will document the changes made to the website during the previous month.
I'll start with a reminder about E-MAIL
ADDRESSES:
Please keep the Alumni Association informed of
any changes in your e-mail address, or your postal mailing address. We can't
keep you informed, if we can't find you!
AND NOW, THE NORMAL "STUFF" .......
If you've read all the e-mails I've sent in the
past two-weeks, or you have recently visited the Alumni Association web
site, then you know about the many changes made in the past week, so I won't
go into them in this News Bulletin.
But, I will tell you what this coming weekend's
web site update will contain -- but, don't look for this update until
Sunday, June 4th.
(1) A new section, News Bulletins, will be added
to the web site for those members who DO NOT have access to e-mail. It
will contain all of the Year 2006 "All Hands" messages which have
been sent out via E-mail to Alumni Association members with valid E-mail
addresses on file with the association. After all, we do want to keep
non-email members in the information loop, as well. Think you might
have missed an important message? Take a look in this new section!
(2) An exhaustive verification process of all
member e-mail addresses listed in the Members List section of the website
indicated there were an additional 61 invalid e-mail addresses listed.
Again, do let us know when you change or drop your e-mail provider!
The verification process also indicated there were 31 e-mail address coding
errors within our Member Listing. These 31 coding errors were corrected and
the members whose names will be listed under corrections need take no
further action. Finally, 20 members had their e-mail addresses updated to
new addresses (thanks for keeping us informed!) Bottom line, if you've
tried e-mailing members in the past and received errors, do try again after
this weekend's update.
Finally,
The following 3 Alumni joined the Association
during the past year, but I do not have contact information for them. If you
have been in contact with any of these three Alumni and you have their
e-mail addresses, please send them on to me.
The three are: Joseph 'Jody' Wells, Ralph
Tucker, and Delmain Taylor.
